Lithium is a suite of network, server and storage monitoring applications with support for industry standard SNMP and proprietary monitoring protocols including those used by Apple’s Xserve, Xsan and Xserve RAID devices.

Lithium Console has had a Sparkle-based software update feature since the 4.9 release. However, updating Lithium Core remained a manual process of downloading and installing the update.

In Lithium 5.0, Lithium Core Admin.app now has a self-update feature that checks for, downloads and installs updates to Lithium Core on Mac OS X.
