When you’ve created a Metric Graph setup in Console you can save the Graph as a document file. The metrics associated with that graph are saved to the document file along with the layout and preferences. If you want to refer back to the graph at a later date you can simply double click on the Graph Document file to open it in Console or open the graph document via the Open or Open Recent menu items in Console.
This is particularly useful when you have graph setups that you refer to regularly. For example, the CPU usage across a set of servers or critical network interconnect, etc. Create the Metric Graphs for these in Console then save them as document files so you can recall that information quickly in future.
