Lithium is a suite of network, server and storage monitoring applications with support for industry standard SNMP and proprietary monitoring protocols including those used by Apple’s Xserve, Xsan and Xserve RAID devices.

Starting with Lithium 5.0 Beta 1 build 5.0.B1.1007, a new file system layout and install location has been implemented.

Lithium Core 5.0 on Mac OS X is installed into the following locations:

/Library/Application Support/Lithium

• Contains the database and metric history recorded by Lithium Core
• The files in this directory will grow over time as Lithium records monitoring data to disk.

/Library/Preferences/Lithium

• Contains the configuration files used by Lithium Core.

/Library/Logs/Lithium

• Contains the log files for Lithium Core

/Library/Lithium

• Contains the background/daemon application files

/Library/Frameworks/LithiumCore.framework
/Library/Frameworks/LithiumDatabase.framework
/Library/Frameworks/LithiumClientService.framework

• Contains the libraries, header files and resources required by Lithium
