Step 1. Install Lithium Core

Run the Lithium Core Installer package from the Lithium Core disk image. This installer package will install Lithium Core, Core Admin and Lithium Console on the host.

Step 2. Setup Lithium Core

Go to the Applications folder and run Lithium Core Admin.app to perform the initial setup of your Lithium Core installation. This quick-and-easy setup process defines the Customer Description for your Lithium Core deployment, the Global Admininistrator account and Email and iPhone Alerts.

Step 3. Run Lithium Console

Lithium Console is the Mac OS X native client application for Lithium. It can be run on the host where Lithium Core is installed or you can download Lithium Console separately to deploy on other workstations. Lithium Console talks to Lithium Core using TCP port 51180.

Step 4. Monitor you Network

Follow the Tutorials for instructions on adding Devices to monitor and then branch out into Application Monitoring, Threshold Adjustment and Building Custom Modules.
